“Nextech Announces AR Deal With Firearm Maker, Steyr USA”

NexTech recently announced AR deal that they will be entering into a new partnership with Steyr USA, one of the leading firearm makers in the country. The contract was signed stating that NexTech will be the official provider of augmented reality to Steyr as part of their new range of products. Steyr has been a pioneer in the firearms industry for over 150 years. They currently supply products to over 50 militaries worldwide. This makes Steyr one of the biggest suppliers of firearms worldwide.

The technology that NexTech provides will allow Steyr Arms to review their products online before making the product. The review will appear in full 3D from all different angles. Nextech announces AR deal that will at first supply Steyr with a sophisticated cross-platform cross-browser WebAR solutions but according to the team, this is just the start of this very innovative and lucrative partnership. Director of marketing at Steyr Arms USA, Bethany White, stated that the company contacted NexTech immediately after seeing what it accomplished with other manufacturers. NexTech has already supplied several different companies with a variety of augmented & virtual reality solutions and platforms.

White stated that they believe investing in augmented reality is the best way to connect with people who are buying products online. It is the way of the future. She said that it builds confidence in the buyers when they shop online and it is something that adds to the customer service of the brand. She further mentioned that their goal is to create a competitive name in a competitive environment while at the same time ensuring that the proof of their competence lies in the quality of their products. She stated that NexTech AR will provide the infrastructure needed to excel in the company to new heights.

The Steyr AUG was designed in the 1960s by Steyr-Daimel-Puch and it formed part of the legacy that was created when Josef Werndl started the company in 1864. It started out as a sawmill company that then grew into a larger firearms company. Evan Gappelberg, NexTech AR Solutions manager, stated that even though tradition is important to the company, they are thrilled to move ahead with modern times while signing with such a big company like Steyr. He said that it will enable them to show their products in the best way possible which will allow them recruit a new generation of firearm enthusiasts.

Gappelberg stated that they expect to deliver the 3D/AR models shortly and it will be viewable on the homepage soon. He said that the NexTech users will be some of the first to experience the augmented and virtual reality market combined with firearms. He is also excited about the fact that the company will be showcasing some of their most famous products like WebAR, AR for training, education, and AR for 3D advertising.
